📈 How to Rank Your Post — Platform Algorithm Guide

Verified entries from well-optimized posts get reviewed faster. Follow these platform-specific playbooks to maximize reach (and your chances of being featured).

Facebook

▸Post between 6–9 PM local time — engagement peaks after work hours.
▸Keep the first two lines punchy; Facebook truncates long posts with “See more”.
▸Add a photo or short video — posts with media reach 2–3× more people.
▸Reply to every comment within the first hour to boost the ranking signal.
▸Share into 1–2 relevant groups where app developers hang out (avoid spam groups).

Instagram

▸Reels reach far beyond followers — use 3–5 niche hashtags like #flutterdev #appsource.
▸Hook viewers in the first 2 seconds of a Reel; show the app in action immediately.
▸Put the link in your bio and reference it in the caption (“link in bio”).
▸Post consistently — the algorithm favors accounts that publish weekly.
▸Use trending audio at low volume under your voiceover for extra reach.

X (Twitter)

▸Threads outperform single tweets — split your review into 3–5 posts.
▸Include a screenshot or short clip; visual posts get far more impressions.
▸Tag relevant communities and use 1–2 hashtags max (#buildinpublic works well).
▸Engage replies within 30 minutes — early engagement compounds reach.
▸Pin the thread to your profile for the campaign duration.

Bluesky

▸Use relevant feeds (e.g. tech/dev feeds) — posting into feeds multiplies discovery.
▸Keep posts under 300 characters and include one strong image.
▸Engage genuinely with the dev community; drive-by links get ignored.

TikTok

▸Vertical 9:16 video, 15–45 seconds — show the app running, not a slideshow.
▸On-screen text in the first second tells viewers what they are watching.
▸Use 3–5 trending sounds/hashtags; check the Creative Center for trends.
▸Reply to comments with video replies to double your reach.

YouTube

▸Shorts (under 60s) get the fastest discovery; long-form builds trust.
▸Title with the outcome, not the feature: “I shipped my app in 2 days — here's the code”.
▸Add timestamps and a pinned comment with your referral details.

▸Write 150–300 words of genuine experience — LinkedIn punishes bare links.
▸Post Tuesday–Thursday mornings for the highest professional reach.
▸End with a question to your network to drive comments (comments > likes).

▸Follow each subreddit's self-promotion rules — read them before posting.
▸Lead with the story/code, not the product; Reddit rewards transparency.
▸Respond to every comment; downvotes on ignored threads kill visibility.
